Please plan a refill for the cistern as well as a larger empty conduit.

Does refill mean a hose from the garden tap to the cistern?

Is it then the case that the hose of the submersible pump is connected directly to the valve box, or is there something in between?

Gardena is really top-notch when it comes to control. The app and everything else works excellently. Above all, the robotic mower also runs through it and possibly sockets. I wouldn't rely on Hunter etc. The systems are compatible. I myself have many sprinklers from Hunter.

Only one from Gardena and only with Gateway. Hunter Hydrawise control can do everything Gardena can and more. Gardena is not bad but just expensive toy. Lay an underground PE-HD pipe for refilling right away. From the pump, you can go directly to the valve box(es).

I don't know how good the Hunter is. The Gardena is definitely good and affordable, I can recommend it. Gateway is often included for free, with my robotic lawn mower.

There are many possible solutions. You can also be satisfied with Gardena. For similar money, however, there are more durable solutions. The control is initially secondary. What matters is the correct selection of the sprinklers and the design of the circuits.
