Hello, so we have an AEG Favorit 50 KVI1P and are very satisfied with it. So far, it has happened to me three times within a year that I had to clean something again. Since we also have an open kitchen, the noise level is also important to me and here I cannot complain. So far, I would buy it again.

The new models take a long time in the normal program because otherwise they wouldn’t achieve their A+++++++ rating, and those who don’t make it are out. They spray far too little, far too cold water on far too many dishes forever, as long as the test cycle fits. It is important to load the dishwasher properly. Then nothing is noisy or at least shouldn’t be, and the items also get clean. That sounds so obvious, but even here among relatives (and my wife too!) loading in a sorted way is an unknown term. Even the Miele at three times the price doesn’t help with that. As I said, a current Siemens device is in use here, and that thing runs wonderfully.

Some dishwashers, however, are hardly insulated on the outside. When running, they sound as if a strong jet of water were spraying onto a sheet of metal, and that is more or less what it is.

I would say 4 programs: Intensive, Eco, Extra Quiet, and Quick

Questioner: Have an Ikea kitchen. Need a new dishwasher. Old one was BEKo and actually okay. Should we buy IKEA? Fits well, right?....Answer: No!!! For heaven’s sake, not IKEA!!!! (Does anyone here even have an IKEA appliance and know from experience? Or just hearsay?) Then: Take Bosch... shortly after: Miele. Miele is a must. (The fact that a Miele costs twice as much as IKEA is left out. IKEA Skinande 449,- Miele only starts at 899,-, does it also last twice as long?) IKEA appliances are Whirlpool or Electrolux. That’s true. They are made especially for IKEA. You get 5 years warranty and they do what they are supposed to. I say this from experience, not hearsay. The dishes get washed, the stove cooks, the oven bakes, the microwave heats up. The cooler cools, the freezer freezes. And all that for a fair purchase price.

The dishwasher and the refrigerator are noisy, the cooktops deliver too little power, the convection function in the oven causes black spots on the cake due to poor air distribution. My personal experience with IKEA, not hearsay. In the new IKEA kitchen, we no longer have a single appliance from IKEA.

Miele dishwashers are often recommended for this reason because they fit seamlessly into the IKEA system, without the Vario hinge.
