Good morning everyone,
we received our storage cement screed last Monday. Now our heating system is supposed to be installed in 2 weeks. Actually, we would like to have tiles in the HW room also under the heater. However, we are not sure if the tiles can be laid then. Because presumably, the screed is not yet fully dried.
Maybe it makes more sense to do a concrete coating under the heater and then later, when the screed is really dry, to lay the tiles in the entire room up to the heating system? Our plumber has concerns that the tiles under the heater could break if everything is not really dry during installation.
Actually, our concern is that if the heating system ever leaks, the water wouldn’t stand on the concrete but could run over the tiles to the floor drain.
I am really grateful for any response, because we can’t make progress with our considerations.
Best regards
Nina
