Floor-to-ceiling windows on the upper floor without railing

A temporary railing is somewhat different from a planned one that was not built. ;) For our planned roof terrace, we will also have a temporary fall protection, since the terrace itself currently has no fall protection. However, we have already installed the door leading to the terrace. So a baby gate will be clamped into the jamb in front of it. That is sufficient.

Are you speaking from experience? Because I've had such a gate listed on Ebay for days... but under the circumstances I would actually like to keep it.

As is often the case, it is probably generally better to openly address questions/problems in advance. If they believe they are being taken for fools, they look especially closely – just like ordinary people do. ;)

We don't have floor-to-ceiling windows (which I personally also find quite crazy), but instead combine low sill heights with a simple crossbar:

The sill height is either 45cm (window seat) or 65cm (all others). The bar is then at 90cm height. It's certainly a matter of taste, but I think it's a super simple solution (just my style :) ).

I think this is more of a guys' thing here for fans of Chevy Chase or Tim Allen, not to be tamed by a railing height standard ;-)

We have no fall protection in front of the floor-to-ceiling window. Tilt lock with key, laminated safety glass, single-family house, for the fixed glazing outside we have a window cleaning robot that removes the small dirt.
