So much for not knowing all the background...
Yes, I asked you to fill out the questionnaire linked here in the subforum so that you could see something more constructive in the criticism.
However, I must also say that I and many others here can already understand the thoughts and wishes. Personally, I have been dealing with house designs long enough for that.
the granny flat,
The granny flat is a granny flat and among other things has the requirement of being separate from the main apartment.
"
An apartment or residential unit must have its own entrance, a kitchen or kitchenette, bathroom, and toilet. The apartment must be suitable and intended for permanent residential use. A granny flat counts as a separate apartment if it is self-contained."

Note well: these are the requirements of the subsidy from the large social fund you want to draw from.
But this does not apply to you in any case.
In the end, it does not matter whether you rent it out. A lot of morality and social thinking play a role here.
It may also be the case for you that you know all this is not right, which at least would explain your reactions to well-intended tips.
Currently, no one would move into a granny flat, foreseeable only if one parent.
What can one say?!
In the end, you can also "fix" staircase layouts, but is that really necessary if they are only supposed to serve the KfW loan anyway? I assume the KfW bank will review the house design. Either you take it only for one residential unit or you arrange for two, then you can apply for double.
But as it is now, it’s nothing.
That’s about the staircase question: they function on their own, but not for two residential units.
