Oh, just forget the "renovation" of a house that exists only as drawings so far. A patchstack is never good, clean code is fundamentally the mother of MTBF – not only in ITC, but also in house construction. Moving a little wall here, reshaping a surface there: that doesn't heal anything. You shouldn't take a workpiece out of the trash can again. Back to the blank sheet, and then start anew – this time in first gear instead of third. Trying to pick out the good cherries and put them back into the new batter is nonsense. The nonsense of the "Infinite Monkey" method can only be topped by the variant that excludes sixes and fives from the dice and only puts those with lower numbers back into the cup.

Hehe, I still can't help myself. But only to inspire the OP. Roof needs to be reconsidered, forgot about the chimney, but it would work. I was sloppy with the windows on the west side. The "granny flat" for the teenagers is open to the upper floor, could be closed later, with or without a gallery.
The cellar stairs are located under the stairs to the granny flat. Two evenings are still quick & dirty for me :)

This draft also unrealistically overplans the property as if it were flat. The OP does not lack inspiration on how the draft could look a little differently again. Rather, he lacks the courage to send the planner packing and to expect his successor to realistically engage with the property. Converting the property into the virtual terrace from the drawings costs roughly as much as an additional full floor. Thus, it is a Sim house plan, and I will withdraw from a popcorn thread.

Your counterargument against the architect is understandable to me, however, I do not count bricks either. The wishes expressed so far by have been well implemented by the architect. He does not build as "one" builds, but listens. The wishes and requirements go beyond common standards and are as specific and special regarding the desire to have as much as possible on one level inside and outside and the rooms for parents and children together on another level (regarding the terrain modeling). The architect implements this. New draft – in case of concept change: yes. Different architect: no

Thank you for your work. :) I generally find it quite exciting to see other ideas for the house. I will definitely engage with it.

Thanks again for your words. I actually see it exactly that way. He implemented our specifications. Maybe we should have given him more leeway. A strict request in the initial meeting was to level the plot to manage without any grading in the garden ;)

You're welcome. If you have any questions about why and how it should be better differently, just ask. I will keep the draft over the weekend, then I will delete it for new projects :)
