Yes, at the moment all the plans are scribbled ;) with changes here and changes there, so I have nothing to show that would be useful. I hope to get the new plan today.

But as I said, note down which rooms you need, what you would additionally like, if you have preferences in square meters or simply a large children's room, hallway, etc.

Then take the notes and the plot plan of the property to the architect, or have him come. Of course, plans cost money, so first just mention the details as far as they are known and ask for an offer (initial estimate and fee). Or a developer – whatever you prefer. When you have found the right one – someone you trust – that person will definitely draw you a great plan and you’ll realize that you would never have come up with that yourself ;) that’s their training and experience and the experience of how a house should best be positioned on plot X.

No, you should really know what needs your family has and what life rhythm you have – the design should be based on that: according to your wishes and not ours ;)

By the way, extending a design by 1 meter results in construction costs of around €10,000. If the budget is tight, one should consider just stretching it... it makes more sense to involve a professional to get an intelligent floor plan.

Hi, yeah, the floor plan is smaller by 4m². That's why it would probably be 4500 less. Yes, we'll still ask a professional. But first, let's create a basis. :)

I keep reading pantry. Who still needs a pantry nowadays?? Especially for what? Isn't a large cabinet with 1.20 m width for food enough in the kitchen? Nowadays it’s not far to the next supermarket. I really don’t understand it :-(

@ Ingo Hi Ingo, we don't have a basement, so in the pantry there are: - bottles, - trash cans, - chest freezer - cookware like roasters for the Christmas goose and other bulky cooking utensils - canned goods - bread maker and the like and the pantry is already full. :)
