Thanks in advance Katia!
Guest WC without a window is always a bit of a pity. Would it be an option to swap the cloakroom and WC and open up the vestibule?
I can’t quite imagine what you mean yet. The passage to the garage has to remain. Should a strip of windows be used then?
I feel that the kitchen and chill room should be swapped so you can step directly from the kitchen onto the terrace. Too bad because of the pantry. But this way someone keeps running past the TV. That’s really annoying when you care so much about it. I would probably access the pantry from the hallway and then bite the bullet of having to walk 3 meters there.
Here again I lack the creativity to see how to implement that. Where do I put the base cabinets if a large lift-and-slide door takes up the western wall area? How do I solve the drainage?
Unfortunately, I can’t interpret the position of the chimney. Is it in the middle of the room? No, right?
No, it stands in front of the solid wall and is boxed in. The fireplace is in front of it. (see picture living room 1 and 2)
What do you do with a sink in the garage? Doesn’t it freeze in winter?
The utility sink will not freeze. The garage is planned with a U-value of 2.0 W/(m2K). The roof above even 1.0 W/(m2K) (same insulation as on the house to avoid height offsets). It has a large garage door, but I think that should be unproblematic.
Leave the forward-opening doors in guest and child 2 rooms at the back. Otherwise the hallway loses a lot of aesthetics and feel-good atmosphere. The other rooms gain nothing from it.
I had thought about that a lot too! The space under the stairs (folded structure look) is to be developed as a storage room/cloakroom. I found a continuous alignment with the wall panel of the two rooms cleaner. Maybe I just didn’t imagine the space under the stairs correctly or messed up here.
The many rooms under the garage – do you need them? You quickly come to the idea of integrating them into the thermal envelope and locating office and bedroom there. In my opinion, there would still be quite some saving potential if that became an issue.
I need a workshop (it’s way too small), 25 sqm would be better for me :-D. I also think you need a storage/pantry room. In the garden-side "garage" in the basement, the lawn mower, bicycles, part of my tools in cupboards, ... will be stored. Again, walls with a U-value of 2.0 W/(m2K).
Best regards
