So ... here are my suggestions for improvement:

[*]Remove the pantry, that's 2.42 sqm for a 100 cm shelf.
[*]Then swap living and cooking ... then you can plan a wonderful kitchen that has enough storage space itself (100 cm shelf can easily be replaced by a tall cabinet with the Spacetower setup). Otherwise, you still have the basement for larger supplies, etc.

But ... looked again carefully ... there is hardly any space for a wardrobe. So I think the approach from was better.

As mentioned above, the gut feeling should definitely be considered, but I would always question my gut feeling once again because I would hate to realize too late that some old feeling had triggered me. There will always be something to criticize about every floor plan, ours just as much or even more, since you want to consider so many possibilities that you often don't even know yet. For the individual room, it may be true that it would be nicest there or here, but I think the overall consideration and evaluation must not be forgotten. The impact on other rooms is sometimes significant when the staircase is here or there or has a certain shape, and in the end, you have to assess for yourself which priority you give it. Basically, every room is important, and that’s why everyone wants the best spot for it. It’s like on a coach, where all the guests always want to sit in the first row.

But then the office is not possible as a lounge either, I already mentioned it.

Regarding the sofa in the bay window, I would like to add: Please don’t push the poor thing completely into the corner. A U-shaped sofa is certainly a great thing if you have the space of half a tennis court in the living room. Otherwise, the whole thing looks very cramped (we reluctantly abandoned the idea back then), especially if it is enclosed on three sides.

What you call "objectively" here is not objectively factual, but only "objective (from a male perspective)" - hence my suggestion that you "don’t interfere" in the conversation between the female client and the female architect.

Here too, I refer to this thread because the orientation of the plot is almost the same. https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/badgrundriss-fensterpositionierung-in-neubau.48444/page-7#post-676658
