I thought we had thought of everything and then it is only in the house building forum that it is noticed that our bedroom does not have enough space for a double bed. That is annoying me right now.

I do not like the idea of having tenants in my own house at all. Neither that they jump all over me, nor that they are in my garden.

Is the apartment easy to rent out with you?

To me, it seems as if every floor has a floor plan from a different house.

Yes, very good indeed.

You can also use the space for other purposes. Mother-in-law moves in or the granny flat becomes my husband's office or is used as a space for a cat breeding. Just because I want to use the area as a granny flat today or plan to use it as a granny flat doesn't mean it will always stay that way. In that case, we actually have too much space.

Yes, I would say it like this:

- Child 1: 6 corners
- Child 2: 6 corners
- Guest: 6 corners
- Anteroom: 8 corners (without bay window) and very large, with 20% of the floor area
- Dressing room as a passage room without windows. Only 1 meter passage between wardrobes, therefore only sliding doors
- Children's bathroom: passage in front of WC only 0.5 m to the shower.

In my understanding, you tried to fit too many functions on one floor (dressing room, living anteroom, 3 children's rooms, 1 master bedroom, 1 large bathroom and 1 small bathroom). As a result, you have to make compromises in every room and lose a lot of free movement space.

Please also check the static, the west-east wall in the middle must probably be a load-bearing wall. We don’t want you to end up with a pillar in the middle of the kitchen and in the garage and/or more steel than concrete in the ceilings. This wall is also not continuous in the basement.

That would be a rarity in a "timber frame house"
