But in your opinion: what is it?

As far as I’m concerned, you don’t need to attach any value to my opinions – that is my "risk" that you avoid my advice in time.
However, it does not make your property any flatter.

Well, if you think that being a sulking sausage will get you anywhere and facts don't apply to you, build your house as it is. The fact is, it will be huge, moderately practical, and guaranteed to be very hard to sell.

I am not a sulky brat, but fine.

How do you come to the conclusion that the house will be hard to sell? Do you know where we are building? What exactly is impractical about a large single-family house with a double garage?

The drawing is a plan developed together with an architect.

The plot will not become flatter or wider or deeper because of your advice either.

So in expensive locations, very large houses definitely sell like hotcakes... For us, that was also one of the reasons to build here. Because I know that I can sell our house with a snap of the fingers. Our house is certainly too big for old age, so we didn't build age-appropriate but are already planning a sale in 20..25 years (whenever that may be). Location location location... that's the decisive point.
