True. It is also for a Swedish stove here... But it probably won't be available either... We actually don't want to change the layout, because of the garden in the south and the street in the north... The thing with the wardrobe would also be an option. Then you could make a separate "wardrobe" for each person. Difficult... This shows again that at first glance everything seems great, but on the second not...

Nobody has to understand this now? Manu's proposed layout is equivalent to the orientation of the current layout. (as far as I unfortunately only had a brief look at it) Smaller hallway: integrate the stairs into the living area - where they are can stay... but it would then be an open living concept.

Unfortunately not entirely. The kitchen would then face the garden and the office, which could possibly also be a guest room or an emergency (3rd) children's room, would then face the street.

That's actually what one would want to favor. Kitchen towards the garden (short traffic routes when grilling or using the terrace), occasional non-daily use of the office/guest room can do without a nice garden view (it only distracts or causes glare on the PC anyway )

I really like the floor plan. Even the couch in the bay window, as it offers a generous view outside. I also prefer the L-shape of the living/dining/kitchen area over everything being in one line. One could consider an open living concept, but as it is now, it would be cozier for me. I personally don't like a cellar entrance in the living area and it is too drafty if it is not closed off. I would only change minor things, like doors and of course the walk-in closet. Otherwise, I like it. Do you already have children? I think a large hallway can never hurt a household of four people. Possibly prams, sports bags, school backpacks, jackets, shoes, etc. all have to go somewhere.

Hmm, that's true. I need to discuss that with my wife, who wants the kitchen to look out onto the street...
We don't have children yet. But the first one is on the way... With the couch, that was also our thought. Of course, it has the disadvantage that it is always very bright on the couch. For watching TV and taking naps... What do you mean by doors?
