The love handles don't care whether the neighbors saw the cream on the cake. My assessment here, rather pro basement, has been confirmed. Does the terrain only rise in depth, i.e., straight sideways? What matters to me primarily on the terrace is dry feet. Whoever shapes the terrain puts on the shoe of drainage responsibility.

I will measure again in the next few days to be sure, but yes, the property is (seems) not sloping - sideways - across the building area.

The property does not slope to the side. Based on another architect's plan, I have developed another rough floor plan (without a basement) and would like some feedback. I am considering turning the utility room on the upper floor into an open space and relocating the room into the adjacent garage. I like the layout of the rooms. The bedroom is still a bit large. The kitchen might be a bit small (?). With a 40-degree roof pitch, the ceiling height at the height of the knee wall would be 1.50m. According to the development plan, we could go up to 48 degrees. There remains a 4m distance to the neighbor. The terrace would be in the northwest, as this is also where the garden opens. What is your opinion on the floor plan?

If built with a basement, the entrance would be on the right, and the utility room, garage, storage, and technical rooms would move to the basement.
