We tested something like that ourselves during the door sample selection. And even I, at 1.90m, couldn't open a wider door "all at once."

I have some and cannot detect the additional step. So if it is necessary, it is certainly not a negative point that is noticeable in everyday life. After the confrontations in the private environment with walker and wheelchair were quite severe a few years ago, 90 cm was never an issue again. Accessibility cannot be achieved by doors alone. Therefore, the OP must first clarify what he envisions. Walker not possible Wheelchair even less so (although the space requirement for wheelchair and walker is similar in theory) Even a nursing service has difficulties

by "barrier-free" we mean "age-appropriate", according to research accessible means the next stronger level and means suitable for wheelchair ... while we rather think of a walker in old age.

2 adults in their early 40s and 1 child
barrier-free = age-appropriate (walker, cane), because we are of advanced age and I have a foot injury that may limit me in the future
The (higher situated) garden should be accessed via a ramp or wide steps, the terrace should be on the house level (should just about fit the height profile of the plot or require only comparatively minor earthworks at that point), access through a possibly deep, ground-level sliding door from the living room, the smaller east terrace should be accessed from the house via a door from the kitchen or kitchen dining area.
We have created 2 slightly different variants based on floor plans from house providers and wonder if these are better for us as they are individually adapted according to our ideas or if we have rather made things worse due to lack of experience.

Unfortunately, I do not understand that properly.

Here is a photo from the northeast corner looking at the property, the house is to be built roughly in the spot where the barn to be demolished stands. I hope this helps.

I'll start: I would not position the house across, but ALONG the plot. Across feels oppressive. Was a building envelope specified here?
