When planning, the floor plan can be aligned accordingly. This means building a height-adjustable washbasin, a Rolliparkplatz, etc. This is about the floor plan and it is feasible, especially with so much space. It is not so unlikely that in the next 20 years one of the two builders will have a handicap.

As I already said, "You can..." _I_ would only do it when necessary. And I write this to encourage thinking about whether one really wants to live healthily like this now. You could also already order walking sticks or TinaLadys to be prepared. But people don't do that, even though it is more feasible ;)

Neja Tena Lady I can get within a few minutes, wider doors, threshold-free doors, and a bathroom that is large enough probably in 12 months. An apartment above the waiting list, assisted living. If the partner has the strength for it. Bladder weakness is a slow process, stroke, femoral neck fracture a matter of seconds. The OP wants to create the framework conditions in order to then "only" have to apply for the aids. To stay with Tena Lady, he wants to do pelvic floor training. Taking the basics that are necessary, it really is not rocket science and there is no hospital look. There is a house with a normal appearance and way of life.

But it's about the floor plan: I would combine the two storage rooms into one. The two doors are not good for the bathroom. And it has nothing to do with senior-friendliness if the washing machine can only be reached by the long way through the bathroom. The door by the kitchen is much nicer, more central, and reachable via a short path. This bottleneck by the WC does not do the design any good either: why not put the WC on the other side? (Water pipes can cover a lot of distance, so you don't have to be overly economical when planning). Then you would have the office and WC as a small unit.

I also have not excluded the large bathroom, wide doors, etc.
Only before I install a height-adjustable washbasin, I would rather plan for 2 bedrooms.

Yep, it can happen to you in your mid-30s as well. Anyone who is still very agile at 60 without notable signs of rheumatism, osteoporosis, or stroke symptoms has a low probability of ending up in a wheelchair in the next few years. Unless they still ride a Harley (or E-Bine ;)) and thus have an increased risk.

Tell that to my father. Healthy, no symptoms and then he collapses. Hemiplegia. And yes, that also happens at 30.

A height-adjustable sink was never up for discussion. The OP just wants a suitable floor plan
