Ok maybe this will now be imagined as somewhat more dramatic than I intend.
In the utility room, besides the heating system, should be the washing machine, with the dryer placed above, and a shelf on the wall towards the kitchen where I can store canned goods, jars, etc., all non-perishables that you occasionally need while cooking.
Nothing more was planned for the utility room, I did not want to integrate a proper pantry there.
And definitely no workbench [emoji1]
But thanks to Katja's suggestion, maybe I don't even have to, because now there is a proper pantry [emoji1]
Huh?
I rather think you imagine it to be easier than it will be.
You want to wash and temporarily store laundry for 5 people there, where you plan the internal entrance—where people also walk with dirty shoes. Plus a small shelf for groceries.
Later, a freezer will be added. Then a tool cabinet for everyday items, decorations for household use, mops, vacuum cleaner, cleaning supplies of all kinds. Empties, beer and water crates, yellow sacks, waste paper and so on.
Most builders who want to build over 150 sqm either plan a second utility room on the upper floor or a fixed staircase to the attic if they build without a basement.
Storage space is missing, not including space for seasonal clothing.
Then the size of the freezer room doesn’t help when everything is mixed up on 10-12 sqm.
Edit: Our freezer room is the coolest room because it was built without underfloor heating. The beer has a good temperature.
