Good question, but my structural engineer will have to take a look at that first. Or do you think that is currently impossible?

I quite like the floor plan as well.

I would have enlarged the kitchen at the expense of the "dance floor," in terms of more cabinet space. Corner sinks are extremely impractical.

Technology separated from the pantry/utility room: I would have built it that way today as well, it will be in the second house.

The children's rooms finally have a usable size. In 95% of the designs, they are too small for me.

In the main bathroom, the shower and the washbasin area would be too small for me. Personally, I like showers measuring 100x120 cm and two washbasins.

I wouldn't have much to criticize about the guest room. It's really fine for its purpose. However, not as a combined guest and workroom.

Yes! That includes load-bearing walls, at least along the greatest length. For a few exceptions, a beam.

I myself have a staggered shed roof, and that’s how it was conveyed to me and also how our house was built. If you look at other houses with staggered shed roofs, this central wall is always designed as a load-bearing and important wall.
Staggered shed roof is always more expensive than a normal gable roof; structurally, you shouldn’t go into the exotic. My note, but I’m not an expert, just a homeowner.

Otherwise, I like it quite well, except for guest room and bathroom, somehow other remaining areas.

Thanks. Yes, we will do that, but our kitchen studio will handle it. Initially, I just wanted to have something in there. The wife doesn't like corner sinks either...

Yes, I somehow had more pros than cons and so I have now planned a separate room. It can still be made a bit smaller...

Thanks, currently we have about 14m² and have said that this must also be the minimum.

Oh yes, nice size! I have to change something here, you’re right. Although in the current design the shower could also be 0.95 x 1.8m if you make the door in line with the stairs. I think I will try to move the stairs 0.5 meters to the left, then the bathroom gets a bit less cramped and maybe a double washbasin will fit as well.

The combined guest and workroom would also be possible downstairs, so currently I have a room available both downstairs and upstairs that I can use as we want.

OK, turning an 11cm wall into a 17cm one is, in my opinion, no big problem, but I will leave these problems to my structural engineer. Let him puzzle over it.

Thanks, as I said, I am also not 100% happy with this area yet.

No, you don’t understand. You don’t have any walls there at all. The third gable has not been considered at all.

If it should work that way, I would appreciate a post here later.

But I am of the opinion that it doesn’t work that way at all.

Isn't it located in continuation of the partition wall between the bedroom and the dressing room? Isn't that just a wooden construction?
