As other users have recommended, I would also advise you to spend a few afternoons looking at floor plans from well-known house manufacturers. A Google search also brings up thousands of results. This will give you a feeling for the planning and will allow you to participate much better in the development with the architect.

An interesting visual dynamic in the house has – fortunately – emerged naturally through the arrangement of the rooms.

One must not forget the exterior view when creating the floor plan. Especially the city villa with 2 full floors desired here is very much obligated to symmetry as a cube. You can nicely sketch windows from the inside, but if you then make an exterior view, it quickly looks really bad. We also decided on a city villa and quickly reached our limits with the exterior view. You can quickly find examples of how something should not look in every residential area. From our bathroom windows, we can see a city villa which has only 1 window facing south (0 upstairs, 1 downstairs). Somehow, that doesn’t look great, even if the clients’ reasoning is very plausible. We decided on 8.5 - 10 meters and are satisfied with our floor plan. There are 1-2 compromises, but for example, we also planned a sauna. I would share our floor plan, but I only have the construction drawings.

I always wonder what the windows over two corners are supposed to mean. And no, you don't have to explain to me now about light from two sides: a proper, generous window on one side is more than enough!
