I also like the arrangement of the tool shed next to the carport and behind the utility room (where no light is needed anyway).

Where is the technical room located? And out of curiosity, which room do you have in the gable?

Are you already living in the house? And if so, would you do anything differently afterward?

The technical room is our "utility room" on the ground floor. We also have connections for the washing machine and dryer there, but everything is located in the bathroom on the upper floor. The office is in the gable: no sloping ceilings for shelves, with 12m2 a good size.

Why, I have already tried to explain. You are putting the cart before the horse. This is currently the wrong phase to do that. The market is so crazy that no reasonable planner will take much time for you without knowing your budget. It may seem superficial, but nothing useful comes out of it. What do you think how much time an architect puts into creating a draft? Only to then hear "Oh, that is €150,000 too expensive... let’s start all over again?" No, he rightly asks for the budget in the first conversation and then works backwards. Subtract 10% from your maximum as a buffer; it will get more expensive anyway.

No, you don’t have to do that at all. That’s why take the advice and inform yourself. Read what the people here in the forum write and take a lot of it to heart. The people here are all much further ahead than you, already finished or have been doing this here for years. And if several people here tell you that something is wrong with your approach, then I would think about it. At the moment it seems as if you are ignoring the objections because you absolutely want to continue the floor plan discussion. If you want to do that, you can do it; I consider it unproductive. You will also quickly notice that the experienced “floor plan users” here in the forum (I don’t belong to them) will quickly lose interest because they also don’t want to work on a floor plan that might be discarded later anyway. Because they don’t even get paid for it here. Only fame and glory.

Depending on how the slope runs, you should also think about whether, if you already have a basement, the office could be placed in the basement.

The special feature of the property with its slope and the “narrow” access side screams for me an architect.
