Thanks for the tip!

The idea is that the ceiling lamp near the two stools, which can be switched individually (a pendant lamp made of concrete), is left on for coziness, while the spots only come into play during "kitchen use." Possibly, one could also consider a dimming function here...

On the outer kitchen row that’s clear, but how does it work with the kitchen island? Or is it generally only about the upper ones on the countertop? We’re still struggling with the island because we actually don’t want a ceiling extractor hood. As described, I’m still not completely satisfied with the kitchen and entrance area spots.

Something different, Michael: Nice floor plan on the ground floor, I like it. In the kitchen, I would box in the tall cabinets by enlarging the pantry towards the kitchen by 60cm. On the topic: two stylish pendant lights over the kitchen island provide light, possibly even matching the dining table light.

Thank you very much, we like it too. The post in the middle will be an uncoated double T-beam in the end. We both like the rustic / industrial chic...

Do you mean the two pendant lights above the island instead of the spotlights? Or as an addition? Above the stove, I would only be afraid that the lamp would get greasy and disgusting...

The current plan with the pantry is to put a small pharmacy cabinet or similar next to the tall cabinets and then hide the door to the pantry, so it looks like a cabinet from the outside. Whether this will really be feasible and cost-effective in the end remains to be seen [emoji1]

Maybe the purpose of some lighting doesn’t become clear to me. It’s all a matter of taste anyway! All the better if you already have a lamp in mind for every application. Many only consider this once everything is finished!

Pendant lamps above the island would be good too. I would also have the fear that they might get a bit moldy, but I would take that risk! You’ll plan for some kind of extractor hood anyway, so it should all be manageable!

I don’t understand some of the lighting either. For example, in the bathrooms, the important mirror lighting was omitted.
In the shower on the upper floor, in my opinion, a centrally placed spotlight would be best, which should be sufficient.
Also, the spotlights are too random for me – I would arrange spotlights as directional guides in a line. For example, from the entrance parallel to the stairs, then a 90-degree turn to the right towards the kitchen parallel to the tall cabinets, then another turn, but to the left parallel to the countertop.
I wouldn’t use spotlights as task lighting but as the main light of the room, possibly dimmable if you want to work, but then with task lighting that is positioned lower.
