Yes, all energy consultants are incompetent quacks. Just the trivial training with about 5 years of studying engineering in the field of construction or energy technology, then the 320 teaching units of further training with another exam and proof of work every 3 years for refresher courses, as well as mandatory participation in continuing education to maintain BAFA and KfW listing. That's all nonsense, I'd rather listen to anonymous tipsters here from the forum with 3 watched YouTube videos as reference.

Jokes aside: Not all energy consultants are equally knowledgeable in all areas, that is due to the breadth of the original professional fields, where the further training simply cannot cover all gaps. The main rule here is: Only those who are really interested in the topic will inform themselves beyond the mandatory (rather basic) further training and get stuck into it. You also have to see what kind of energy consultant you are asking. I wouldn’t invite a chimney sweep to plan my curtain wall, even with the best further training; but on the topic of heating, he will know what he’s doing. Conversely, some architects quickly reach the limits of their knowledge in room-by-room heating load calculation or generally on the topic of heating. There were also times when "energy consultant certificates" were practically given away with few teaching hours to chimney sweeps and some trades that simply did not have the appropriate basic knowledge of building physics or where the theoretical background was rather thin. Behind the facade of the KfW calculation software, little knowledge of detailed executions was then known and construction supervision was not covered either. As far as I know, the requirements here have also become higher in the meantime. Not every service provider fits your request, or some are simply not "good." But just because McDonald's tastes bad, burgers can still be delicious.

As I said, it can work, depending on the knee wall height, the height of the underside compared to the floor slab, and the existing wall structure. To be on the safe side, it’s best to check once, but it might not be necessary or the effort might be too great compared to the benefit.

Measured, knee wall about 70 cm high + the insulation, so 85 cm from the concrete floor/ceiling of the ground floor.

So the formwork under the overhang is probably at the level of the insulation layer.

As a useless energy consultant, I would instinctively recommend raising the insulation on the inside up to the bottom chords, e.g. 10-14 cm wood fiber insulation boards with a compressed surface for the floor slab. Saves plastering and is still impact-resistant.
On the outside, raise it as high as possible to the same level, i.e. remove the formwork.

I paid attention to the references available, the main area of expertise and duration of activity, and that he is a civil engineer when searching for an energy (efficiency) consultant. I found this on the websites or asked directly during the first phone call. Furthermore, a short distance from my place of residence was important to me. I found a competent contact person who patiently answered my questions and whom I trust. The on-site inspection took about 4 hours, and it was thoroughly explained why something makes sense and why something else does not (economically).
