The planning is almost complete, only the facade is giving me trouble. I would appreciate suggestions and creative ideas. So far, I have thought of a wood-plaster mix facade. Rhombus cladding weathered gray for the bay window on the ground floor, entrance area, and garage front, and the rest of the house should have a white plaster (not bright white). Minimal roof overhang on all sides with verge flashing and flat tiles. I prefer a rather minimalist style with clear structures and now worry that our planning will end up being just a run-of-the-mill single-family house. I am open to suggestions, but it should stay within the financial framework. A complete rhombus cladding for the entire house is no longer feasible. The planning is in the attachment.

I don't see any rhombuses there at all, only straight lines (?)

In terms of building composition, it may be typical of 2016, but it is not run-of-the-mill. The framing of the small windows seems sufficient to me as an accent.

I would rather invest the money for additional frills in the garden design, that adds more value.

The diamond cladding could only be suggested by the draftsman. I would also design it much lighter. Example: Durapatina Lava grey.

But thank you very much for the critique. A beautiful garden design really makes an impact. That is true.
I had also once thought about painting the house completely grey and choosing windows in wood look. But real wooden windows become too expensive, and I am very unsure whether plastic windows in wood look are convincing.

Well, first of all, thanks for the push to learn more. I looked it up on Google. From the perspective side, these are actually "battens," somewhat narrower than profile boards, and the name comes from the cross-section. I had originally imagined something (wood)shingle-like, with individual shingles set on their points.

Instead, I would rather create color blocks, and at the distance like the lines on the drawing, leave "gaps" between the "beams" of the color blocks. About 4 or 5 cm wide (so practically painter's tape wide).

Possibly even in different colors: one for the bay window, another for the angle of the front door / garage, and one that is just a little lighter than the window frames in the area of the small windows.

oh no, they only convince me to completely avoid them for taste reasons.

What color are the windows supposed to be now?

don’t forget with all those gray paint jobs: in pictures in summer it might look quite elegant, but in the dreary weather months it quickly becomes too much gray.

So at least I would design the angle of front door / garage as the after-work-homecoming side to be a friendlier welcome. You usually see the terrace side more from the outside in summer (unless you see it first when coming home).

The gable windows do not look minimalist in my opinion, but ordinary. But they will probably match the interior design. In this respect, I would refrain from the unpleasant thought of 08/15.
In short, greetings

Yes, the gable windows are really very ordinary, but the rooms (children's room and bathroom) behind the windows simply need light.
The window frames will be dark gray. When sampling, I will also take a look at wood-look windows, but I still don't believe in 2017 that they look good.
Attached is the floor plan of the house.
How do you like the wooden cladding from the picture (No. 7 Lava gray)
