How do you like the wood cladding from the picture (No. 7 Lava gray)
Relatively still the best (in terms of color tone, because the warmest). I am missing the "scale" for the "width" of the individual slats in the picture.
But I basically stick to
Possibly even in different colors: one for the bay window, another for the corner door / garage, and one that is only slightly lighter than the window frames in the area of the small windows.
with one correction: I would do the bay window and entrance area in the same color, only the strip between the small windows matched to the window frames. However, it seems to me
The window frames will be dark gray.
to be a bad choice for two reasons: first, because dark gray foil-covered plastic windows* are so mainstream that it’s about as banal as it gets; and second - if you stick with the wood in the mentioned shade - because that “goes together” like black shoes with a sand-colored dress.
But, as I said: I would choose color instead of boarding, and even a colorful tone (preferably fruity) for the bay window and the entrance area.
These are special pre-weathering stains that do not change much further and require no follow-up treatment. You have the guarantee that everything weathers evenly.
That reads like a rustic sales pitch to me.
*) With the money saved by painting instead of boarding, you could switch to aluminum windows. They last, even in dark gray.
