hello, quick question about the extractor hoods, specifically NUTID here! the kitchen is set up, but the extractor hood is (out of laziness) not yet installed. until now, I thought I absolutely had to drill a hole in the wall to be able to use the hood, but just now I see in the overview of all hoods that basically for each it says: "passender kohlefilter für umluft: XY preis". that clearly means that for every hood I can also buy the matching carbon filter to then use it with recirculation without a hole in the wall instead of with exhaust outside. am I seeing that correctly? thanks for your answers! kadi

Hello
Recirculated air is only half the battle, as only the grease is filtered but the air returns - exhaust air is definitely better, I just installed one myself and it’s not comparable!!!

Hello,

almost all Ikea range hoods are both, meaning extraction or filter. if you want extraction you need the flexible extraction pipe, if you want filter, you need... well, the filters :D . the filters need to be changed every 9-12 months depending on usage. you can tell when the filters need to be changed by the extraction and the air.

when buying, my colleague should have informed you that you need one of the two

best regards Küchenhexe

hello kitchen witch!

i have both as far as i can see. i bought a complete kitchen, but over the internet with virtual kitchen planning where we had a lady on the phone and then had to log in to discuss the kitchen. in the end, we basically got all the parts delivered to the house via [hermes].

so i definitely have the flexible pipe, and according to the order list i also have the filter. but i think we will return the pipe and then operate the hood with [recirculation]. i actually don’t want to make any more holes in the wall!

greetings, kadi
