Hello dear ones,
would you like to comment on our current draft?

With our Drillis, the house has become too small. There are now six of us.
The new part can be understood quickly from the floor plans.

I am of the opinion that the floor plan is already quite optimized, but sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees.

I look forward to your comments!

Note:
In the current draft, the dormer has not yet been properly integrated into the Child 2 room. Just imagine that the dormer is as wide inside as the room.
The development plan and building window allow for this extension.

I can remember :) The yellow house... Where do you leave your clothes in the parents' room?

Hi ypg, fair question. Actually, the room is already the master bedroom :) The bed is rotated 180° and pushed all the way to the right wall. This way, we have enough space on the left side for a big wardrobe. I also have to admit that our roof is still red today... But somehow we can't find a good color scheme for a red roof and have therefore (almost) decided to cover the roof in a new color...

if the bedroom fits. Would have the same concerns.

I'm not a fan of a children's bathroom but with 4 kids no luxury. I see it at my friend’s. More important than own children's rooms.

Why the 2nd entrance?

Do you have a basement? I find there is a bit too little storage space on the ground floor. Especially when I think about the weekly shopping for 4 growing kids. And I’m not necessarily thinking of extreme eaters.

Great, thanks a lot for the comments! Give me more of them :D I agree with you that the bedroom is very cramped. A compromise we are willing to accept (due to lack of smarter alternatives). We still want to be near the children for now. In a few years, the plan is to leave the upper floor to the children. My wife and I would then move into the guest room downstairs...

The question about the second door is justified. We once had the challenge that the door lock of our front door malfunctioned and we couldn't get into the cabin anymore. That somehow left traces and the desire for an alternative entrance. But when I think about it, one could certainly make one of the new patio doors openable from the outside --> More storage space in the wardrobe and garage.

Best regards Hendrik
