Energy renovation and extension, KFW 261 example

When I had the NRW.Bank on the phone today, I specifically asked whether I really have to achieve KfW 40. They clearly confirmed that to me. How did you manage that?

Or do they agree as soon as KfW 261 follows?

That surprises me a bit!

If you buy a house as a first-time buyer, then the amount for the purchase can only be financed through Sustainable Living if you achieve KfW 40. The funds we obtain through the program are intended for renovation measures on a house. In that case, the achieved efficiency house level does not matter.

Oh, is that really the case? That’s exactly what I asked today. The lady on the phone clearly told me that we have to renovate to KFW 40. But if you have confirmed it like that, then that’s great! So apply for Kfw and then nrw, right?

We or our bank applied for both at the same time. However, I had prior email correspondence with [NRW.Bank] and received confirmation. The response came within less than 24 hours via the info email address.

Unfortunately, I am not allowed to share this here because [NRW.Bank] prohibits sharing.

For your information: the KfW funding for climate-friendly new construction will resume again starting tomorrow. The Sustainable Living program of NRW.Bank should therefore soon return to the old conditions. That is around 2 percent more interest.
