The space would be there, but I wouldn’t want a gate opener with a 6m extension or so... as this would take up the parking space when visitors are here.

What is a radial gate opener? ....google didn’t give me anything on that .... and it thinks I’m searching for a swing gate opener.

Search for hatecpro wheeler. I have it at home because with it I can open a gate leaf almost 180 degrees.

You knowledgeable ones,

I am currently pondering again about the topic of electric door openers / Ring doorbell. So the technical side of the project.

The situation is that only a 5-conductor cable comes out of the house, which is intended for the electric gate operator.

On the other hand, I want to use the existing Ring doorbell at the gate, which also receives constant power from this cable. Additionally, the gate should get an electric door opener that can preferably be operated wirelessly from the house.

The fence builder installs BFT gate operators. Apparently, other consumers are supposed to be connectable to the control unit as well. If I am not mistaken, one could connect the electric door opener there (for power supply)?

Does anyone have any useful information for me? :)

Thanks!

Should work. Just get the documents for the control unit and the door opener. Either tap directly from the power supply or at the control unit. Depends on whether it's 12V or 230V, etc.

The gate drive is a BFT Phobos BT A25. That's all I can say. It should work there if the door opener runs on 24V ?. The Ring doorbell receives a constant current via a designated (indoor) power supply. The challenge now would be, besides controlling the gate, to install another "box" that is as weatherproof as possible and to put a socket in it so that the Ring power supply can be connected there. Would there be any objections?
