Sure, I'll take the liberty.

Regarding the light switches, I meant that they definitely can't be placed directly next to the door frame (as is usually the case), but you hadn't planned it that way anyway.

Hmm, so what's the point then if only 90cm can be opened anyway. You might as well install a simple door and reduce the passage, that saves you a thousand or two...

My opinion is, if it's nice and wide, then both sides have to be able to open, I don't want to miss our wide passage.

But I have to say that it was open 99.99% of the time over the last 5 years.

We also don't have a problem with light switches because the leaves open into the hallway and not into the living room. The switch is, as usual, right next to the frame on the left.

If it's just about saving money, you can do that in many other areas as well. And doors for 50,- EUR also initially fulfill their basic function - but you probably haven't installed those either. Moreover, the side panels let a bit more light into the hallway - and the overall appearance simply cannot be compared to a plain door without side panels.

Interesting question, which also concerns me.
I am attaching our ground floor plan.

The door from the hallway to the living room is supposed to be a highlight here because it is directly visible from the house entrance and represents the centerpiece of the house.
Width: 2.01m rough opening

What kind of door would you choose here?

Please don't take this personally, but the highlight disqualifies itself because it is positioned at an unfavorable angle both to the house entrance and to the stairs.

No matter what you choose, it will always look "semi-nice."

I am usually in favor of double doors, but in your case, a door like the K1300S suggested might be appropriate.
