Hello everyone,
we are now in the final phase of our planning and at the end of the month is our sampling appointment.
For that, we are currently deciding on door hinges, possible ceiling spots, etc.
We are wondering if the door between the hallway and the living/dining area is somehow impractical because, regardless of whether it is right- or left-hinged, you have to walk around it. Or is it actually unproblematic? I usually only know it so that on the hinge side there is immediately a wall or it is completely open without a door. The plan is a door with a glass panel to prevent noise from the living area from reaching the hallway downstairs and thus also upstairs.
The floor plan towards the kitchen is no longer quite up to date. The island has become a peninsula that is placed directly against the wall. The room is 4m wide and the island is 2.50m long, so there is a passage of 1.50m.
How would you illuminate the kitchen? From our previous planning with a ceiling extractor, the idea is still to slightly lower the area directly above the island and install 6 ceiling spots there. In addition, there are the 4 lights that illuminate the row with the sink, etc. Is that enough?
