Door hinge to living/dining area and kitchen lighting

When is it supposed to bang if the kitchen/living room door opens outwards and it is a glass door where you can clearly see that the storage room door is open? However, the door can easily remain open in the hallway and does not bother anyone. If the storage room is frequently used from the kitchen, I would give the door a left hinge there.

I would leave out the door if there are enough doors at the top to block the "noise".
