Does the Variera knife tray fit in the flat Maximera?

Hello everyone,

I have several low Maximera drawers, each with a 10cm high front at the front, the usable height inside is 7.2cm.

Can I use the VARIERA bamboo knife tray there? This one:

Knife tray, bamboo

It’s clear that the tray itself fits into the drawer.
But: Do large meat and vegetable knives still fit in terms of height? And does the drawer still close?

Who has already tried this and was successful (or unsuccessful)?

that will probably depend on how wide your knives are. From the available internal height, I would subtract at least 1.5 cm (from the bottom edge of the insert to the bottom edge of the slots for the knives) to get the usable height.
If Ikea is around the corner: buy it, if it doesn't fit, return it.
