Do you happen to have a photo of the reinforcement? If you don’t have it, the electrician must have something like that for the [Potenzialausgleich / Erdung] in the floor slab.

Do you mean from the statics or the actually implemented one (unfortunately I only have very blurry pictures here)?

Photos of how it was executed, possibly conclusions can be drawn from them. Elli MUST have taken clear pictures as proof of how the grounding was carried out. It is mandatory according to DIN 18014. Read that, it's worth it.

Theory and practice...

Of course, there are possibilities. But I am not an expert, and you cannot assess this based on a photo. Considering that your base slab is not even 30 cm, but in places a whole 25% less, a conversation with your construction company would also be appropriate. An expert opinion also wouldn’t hurt. That will cost you 2-3 thousand EUR over your construction period, but it is money well invested.

In case of such deviations from the specifications, I would refuse to accept the performance. I am not more papal than the pope, but this is too much. The reinforcement must definitely be properly protected; it is not acceptable to splice it. Otherwise, the spaces are too large.

Thank you very much for the feedback so far. We have discussed and recalculated everything once again with the structural engineer. Fortunately, the thickness of the base slab is sufficient. Only regarding the lateral reinforcement of the base slab do I still have a question. As you can see in the picture, the reinforcement is visible at the edge of the base slab (only at one spot). Are there actually no spacers for the reinforcement in the edge area of the base slab? Our architect's suggestion for the one spot: 1. Zinc lamella coating, 2. PCC concrete replacement, and 3. Bitumen coating or bitumen membrane. What do you think about this? I would appreciate feedback (spacers & architect’s suggestion). Thanks and regards
