Dishwasher and BEHJÄLPLIG - Please clarify

Hello everyone,

I have just assembled an Ikea Metod kitchen. Everything is fine so far, only the dishwasher is still missing.
The Ikea consultant pointed out to me that this could be difficult since I want to use a Siemens or Bosch.

I then bought Behjälplig to attach the front later.

I see pages of posts here in the forum about "challenges" when mounting. Sometimes it is said to work, sometimes not. How could clarity be provided?

I would like to buy a Bosch SMV68M80EU dishwasher. Is this usable with my BEHJÄLPLIG? Does anyone have experience?
To possibly make the decision easier for other people in the future, without hours of research, are there any rules for the "successful" installation of a foreign dishwasher?

Hello, the recommendation is to use BEHJÄLPLIG only if a dishwasher is already present, otherwise choose an 86.5 cm high XXL appliance from Siemens / Bosch / Neff with a Vario hinge, to which the front can be attached directly. Alternatively, a dishwasher from Miele that allows 800 mm high fronts.

For clarification: What disadvantages do I have because of BEHJÄLPLIG?

Is it better to reverse everything and order a different dishwasher without BEHJÄLPLIG?

The more moving parts you have, the easier something can break. Whether you will get replacement parts for BEHJÄLPLIG in the long run is up in the air. The installation is also trickier.

I would change the order and return BEHJÄLPLIG.

XXL dishwasher does not automatically mean it fits. The base dimension is also crucial.
