I still have concerns about stability with the extension panels. Visually, I really like the Team7 models mylon and magnum. The space for alternatively a large table without extension has already been marked. The first impression is that 240 would fit well.

Well, the move is next week. Since, due to Corona, the furniture purchase was initially postponed and then was no fun, the current 180 cm table will come along for now. This way we can first get a better everyday room feeling. Essentially a work-in-progress for furnishing.

You notice, I’m trying to justify my previous reluctance to buy furniture – by the way, not just with the dining table.

Team7 doesn’t ring a bell for me. How expensive are the tables approximately?

I really like that one! May I ask where you got the custom-made table with the additional leaves?

You are absolutely right. When I think of an extendable table, I also picture those flimsy pressboard ones that you can’t lean on. Maybe one should give it another chance.

Here stands a HülstaNow ET-17 in (3x without offset) natural oak and stainless steel frame. 240x100 cm. It is extremely generous for two people per long side, which is exactly how I wanted it because armchairs with armrests stand there. I can’t stand dining chairs without armrests; it gets annoying over time and often results from too little space per person at the table. For three people per side, the table legs, more like sled runners, are positioned rather unfavorably. But I like the look.
About 20 people have "dined" more or less simultaneously there; we used 's tactic, which I strongly support, at least for the big family feast. Those who prefer candlelight surely look for another solution.

About €1400 for the table (please share your prices for the exquisite custom-made pieces )

At least in the past, Team7 built absolutely high-quality wooden furniture and also kitchens, basically without using metal, so the best craftsmanship. Pricewise, of course, top class, partly equivalent to the value of a used small car but just great quality.
