*lol now I just had to check here how people can write 10 pages about a 20cm table difference
So for space reasons we have an extendable one.
And quite simply from Tchibo, made of metal with satin glass tops – I don’t like transparent ones.
It is 1.20 x 90 and extends up to 2.40.
How expensive it was, I don’t remember, 150€ or 250€.
Actually, it was a makeshift solution, we would have liked one made of wood, but there were no nice ones in the furniture stores. So either too big or unaffordable.
The usual ones with the crank/fold-out mechanism just looked terribly cheap, like badly veneered.
And so it stays with this one. I still hope that eventually the kids will eat so neatly that I can do without the tablecloth and just use placemats.
Unfortunately, that will take a while. But at least we have worked our way up from wipeable plastic tablecloths to fabric ones.
