You get everything straight to the point and it all makes sense to me. However, I am reluctant to have any more service/maintenance-required systems in the house, especially ones that are invisibly spread throughout the house. I certainly can’t explain it to you professionally, but I just resist it, just like I do against plastic insulation. I’m simply a fan of what was "good" for 100 years; it can’t be much worse now. Over the long term, I just lack the experience with the "new" houses. What am I supposed to ask our friends who have houses that are 1-10 years "old"? Yes, times do not stand still, etc., but I’d rather pay 10€ more in heating costs per month than live in these "forced-ventilated" houses. Yes, it may be narrow-minded. But I think I would simply feel more comfortable with that. Furthermore, we are at home every day, and opening everything up once a day has really NEVER bothered us. On longer holidays (if there is money left), my parents in the same town can take care of the ventilation. I am quite different when it comes to heating. Ideally, a brine heat pump with trench collectors done by myself. And photovoltaic panels will also go on the roof...

Based on 2017, without controlled residential ventilation, works well. You don't have to follow every trend. Window rebate ventilator Regelair plus an exhaust motor in the bathroom. At the moment it is summer, all windows tilted, there is some draft in the house, not too warm.

Do you also build a house with wall construction, electrical system, a coal stove, all of which were good for 100 years? Times change. Instead of coal, today it’s a brine heat pump. Instead of two-core power cables, it’s smart home. Instead of drafty wooden windows with single glazing, it’s a high-tech profile with triple or even quadruple glazing. And so on. Controlled residential ventilation is quality of life. You can have it (I would always do it again), but you don’t have to.

There is nothing complicated about it. Change the filter twice a year, clean the air distribution boxes after 10 years (that’s what I was told, we are not that far yet).

That’s what I wanted to point out as well, I also planned such a decentralized ventilation with humidity sensor respectively in the bathroom and guest WC, not final.
What I also copied from you is the staircase going up into the basement, that still MUST somehow be included.

I think if you really want to, you can also read out of my text what I mean.

So a controlled residential ventilation without the C. An UNcontrolled ventilation = forced ventilation
