Desperate about the 153-degree hinge, how do I manage it?

Thank you. I had read about the postponement. How the (momentan noch bergab-Tür) is otherwise right now, I will measure again (I am currently not near the door). If it does not have to be exactly 700mm, that will save me the huge drilling template. How sensitive is the system to variations in squareness? Regards, Buchi

I can't tell you that either. If the door is not warped, the mounting plates are usually the only cause. It is easier if you use Clip Top cross mounting plates for screwing on. The mounting plate also sits flush when the screws are slightly angled. In addition, you can then screw into a piece of virgin chipboard.

Thank you. And will the Ikea-153 hinges fit in there as well? I googled the Clip Tops, and it seems there are several types. Which one should I choose? Do they also have height adjustment? But wouldn't it be even more difficult to align them because you can't use the 5mm holes as a reference? Regards, Buchi

173L6100 or 173H7100. In any case, you have to measure.

Hello again,

plugged the holes again and built a new drilling template.
The drill is now also guided in the drilling direction.
I would say the holes are now exactly perpendicular
to the carcass edges and to each other.
A normal hinge with 125 degrees also works.
(Only that then I can’t get the drawers out).

Installed the 153 degree hinge. It doesn’t close.
Now it doesn’t close equally at the top and bottom. It
stands open about the thickness of the door.

The hinges are screwed out all the way, otherwise it opened even further.

Should I rather position the holes further inside the cabinet
or more towards the carcass edge so that the door closes with the 153 degree hinge?

I don’t dare to tackle the ClipTop because then
I would have to drill even more randomly into the carcass.

I can also exclude that the hinges themselves have a defect, I have already exchanged them once.

Regards, Buchi

Try fitting the door with the hinges temporarily into the pre-drilled holes and the mounting plates in the basic setting. Maybe then you can more easily get to the bottom of the problem.
