Dear community,

we are currently in the planning phase of converting the upper floor. This would give us a terrace of 40.24 sqm. The width on the south side is about 2.40 meters. So it is rather long and narrow. Since the roof is very low in one spot (1.50m) (southeast side in the middle on the slope), you cannot walk through here. Therefore, we have two doors - east and south side. In the niche that is created on the south side because of this, I thought I could put the seating area here. In the east area towards the morning sun, a small table. In the southwest area I would like a kind of lounger like e.g. a shell - as a relaxation zone. I can probably forget about an outdoor kitchen here.

I would also like to have some plants on the terrace.

Since I am very uncreative in this context, I would be very happy about your great opinions and tips. With the terrace, you could still extend a little bit. MINIMALLY

Please be patient with me if I have written something unclearly.

Best regards and stay healthy everyone!

Can you repeat all that now with an explanation of where the south and the roof are? Southwest? And what kind of tips do you want now? Furniture? Planting?

Of course. The roof is marked on the plan. The lowest point is at the slanted wall. Tips on how to best design the terrace. Important are a dining table and lounging area, as well as a grill. Planting would be great but I have no idea at all how. P.S.: South is at the bottom of the plan.

I wouldn't plan anything there. You can rearrange the furniture. You just put the dining table where it feels comfortable and works with the kitchen. Place things where you want them. If it doesn't fit, rearrange. It all comes naturally when you live there.

Food and grill at the kitchen
In front of the living room, lounger
Draw in whether the furniture fits.

There are many options for plants
From fruit/vegetables to bamboo to geranium.
Browse on Pinterest, visit garden centers if open, or look online at retailers.
Pay attention to the location whether for shade, partial shade, or sun.
Then according to suitability for containers
