So today the owner of the company I was in contact with was here and looked at everything etc. and said as a spontaneous estimate 30-35k (before subsidy) for everything, so including preparations like the foundation for the heat pump and including the removal etc. of the old stuff... we have now agreed that his colleague, who is an energy consultant, will come again or clarify with us which documents he needs etc. and then complete everything that we need anyway for the subsidy (costs us depending on the concrete effort 500-1000€) and then the gentleman from today will prepare offers with different heat pumps that could be suitable and with the heating load calculation we can of course also ask other companies for offers. Sounds okay to us so far. Does anything sound bad to you there?

Hello,

Completely absurdly inflated price. Yes, it is currently difficult to get reasonable offers, the complete gold rush has broken out among heating specialists.

If you have the offer in front of you, go and compare it on various internet portals and see what the items cost there. Those are the real prices. If the heating specialist thinks he has to pay double at his wholesaler, he can gladly do that, but not on my dime.

If you have the rough hardware costs, add another 10-20% margin on top (yes, the heating specialist is allowed to earn something and he also does a layout etc.) and you will be amazed that even up to 30-35 k€ there are still 15-20 k€ missing.
That is what he wants for the installation. 15 k€ would be roughly 200 working hours, or about 6 man-weeks... somewhat exaggerated...

The real value of the replacement all together is about 20 k€ (before subsidies). With the rest, you are financing your heating specialist’s next Porsche.

Many greetings,

Andreas

These are actually also the prices that are asked for on classified ads. But then monoblock without hot water storage. But 35 is too high.

Yes, of course we have to wait for the final offer and, as mentioned, he will make offers with different heat pumps. We probably need 2 heat exchangers because of the solar thermal system, which of course makes it more expensive. By the way, he does not drive a Porsche, as far as the long-established residents in the village know.

...and even if he does – why shouldn’t a craftsman drive a Porsche? Is that only allowed for doctors and lawyers? If someone is hardworking and earns enough money through hard work to fulfill their dream, they don’t necessarily have to be a rip-off artist, right? Maybe he’s just a good, hardworking craftsman...
--> I would rather hire the craftsman with the Porsche than the one with a rusty Clio.

Sorry, you have to explain that to me....
You order the items on the internet and the heater guy should then install them with a warranty?
