There are credible reports stating that the expansion of the network in Germany will cost over 700 billion euros within the next 10 years.

700 billion!!!

And this is supposed to happen without affecting the electricity price.

And let's put it this way. It was certainly not the Blue Party that has been systematically underfunding the German infrastructure for decades.
When it comes to the power grids, we are talking about technology from the 60s and 70s.

Industrial settlements have to be canceled due to too high power consumption, you can no longer connect large photovoltaic systems to the grid (over 30kwP), or consumers requiring approval are not approved.

As of today, everything still works well. Let's just wait and see how things develop and talk about it again in 3 to 4 years.
Of course, it is convenient that Mr. Nordanney, with his infinitely vast expertise, can factually refute every one of my theses. Simply brilliant!

Let's ignore the hollow neighing of a user, because the 700 billion by 2030 is a statement from the bdew, that is the Federal Association of Energy and Water Industries... and therefore absolutely reliable. However, it does not say that these 700 billion are supposed to come solely from the federal budget. The energy suppliers and grid operators are of course also investing, Eon alone plans 42 billion by 2028. But why do you actually keep discussing topics about which you have no professional clue? Bank clerks and electricians are poor advisors on the energy transition. I also don't ask a bricklayer if he is planning my house. And you can't do math either, otherwise it would be clear that photovoltaics and heat pumps are no cure-all, as is always propagated here...

I am full of hope that the expansion of the electricity grids will proceed just as quickly and well as the expansion of fast internet, i.e. fiber optics or the mobile network.

We are also among the best worldwide in this regard, aren't we!

And even though the auction of the 5G mobile networks by the federal government was unlawful, as was judicially determined this week, causing billions in costs, it will be the same with the electricity grids.

Not only do we have the most expensive mobile phone prices with the worst networks. We also already have the most expensive electricity prices with the worst networks. Of course, the expansion costs will be passed on to the electricity price.

Historically, the electricity price has increased by 6 percent annually.

By the way, I assume there will still be a boom in electric vehicles. In China, 97 percent favor an e-car and do not want to buy a combustion engine anymore. As I said, let's just wait another 5 years. Then we will see how great our energy supply really is here.

The grid operator did not approve a 50 kWp photovoltaic system for me due to the lack of a corresponding grid feed-in point and insufficient grid capacity. Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to move my hall to a place where it might be possible.

Well, what else can one expect from you. Just because the electricity price increased by 61% from 2014 to 2023 doesn't mean it was a linear growth. In fact, the electricity price was relatively stable until 2021; only the war in Ukraine caused a significant price increase. I can no longer listen to your constant twisting of facts to suit your own doomsday fantasies.

... and the heating oil price has increased by 105% in the last 8 years - compared to electricity by 36%. Wow, so better use oil? How exactly do you calculate, so that we can have a correct number (for what actually)?

What I don’t understand is why you always jump on the grid expansion, which you obviously have no idea about. It’s always acted as if all of Germany would collapse if everyone got an electric car + heat pump. Do you really think the grid operators and local utilities aren’t aware of this? Do you think they approve everything without considering how the energy should be supplied? And even if it really should get tight sometimes, there are so many adjustment options that we probably don’t even know about before a forced shutdown occurs. And even then, none of us will die if we have no electricity for an hour at night.

And the best argument I heard just recently: "How is this supposed to work with this weak, puny green energy? We need strong electricity." From that and from you too, I read so much lacking technical understanding that a discussion actually makes no sense anymore. But they also don’t want to leave you completely alone in your world, since after all we are somehow all in the same boat.

But the fact is, and the entire scientific community agrees on this and according to that we and the state should steer decisions, that fossil energies are on the one hand finite and on the other hand emit heaps of CO2. Since of course those people don’t believe in climate change, one can at least agree that more CO2 in the air is worse than less.

Basically, I believe it’s always about fear and mistrust in the system. The big tabloid newspapers don’t advertise for nothing with sensational, fear-mongering headlines. One could almost think you have been influenced by that and haven’t formed your own opinion. Independent research considers all sources and evaluates them.
