What has to be said about this:

The footprint absolutely does not change, it remains at 8x8m, which may look different in the pictures due to differences in zoom level and angle.

I find your point about the difference from front to back understandable, but I actually liked keeping it inconspicuous at the front. I consider the label flashy chalet a bit exaggerated in view of a total of 160m2 ;). However, I still have some difficulties with the side view myself. Maybe you have a good idea there?

Demolition + new build: Unrealistic. 160m2 x 2000 euros already amounts to 320k€. Without taking into account ancillary building costs, demolition costs, and the displeasure of my parents-in-law ;)

At first I thought: "I didn’t know Herman Munster became an architect" "LOL* - but then I saw that the plans are already three years and four months old. That someone still first sleeps on it once more before really building it like that is understandable. Somehow it looks like a roof tent on a Trabant :)

I wouldn't do that unless necessary.

The designs are actually quite new, the date is only from the sun studies.

Overall, we planned the rooms that we find practical and necessary, the exterior shape is pretty much the consequence of that.

Do you perhaps have ideas on how this could be solved alternatively?

Redesigning the front or switching entirely to a flat roof would add quite a bit more cost. What would your approach be to redesign the front? If I understand correctly, most people here are struggling with the mix of front and back?
