What remains of the old house:

- Basement
- Ground floor foundations
- Upper floor walls on the sides and the front

Extension:
- Newly constructed roof
- Wider dormer at the front
- "Cube" on the old outdoor terrace extended up to the roof ridge containing the dining room, office, and in the attic then bedroom + bathroom
- Attic plus roof terrace and posts to support the load of the freely cantilevered corner of the house (because of the water pipe, see original post)

And the 2000 € is never enough. Somehow the plans confuse me as well. I read that you only gut-renovated in 2015 and now want to completely redo everything again? Or is that mistaken. Are you planning the second residential unit because of the subsidy? That's actually exactly the windfall effects that are supposed to be avoided ;) So I wouldn't count on that for possible future funding programs.

That's exactly what I would do, but it probably fails due to money.

Major renovation in the parts that were urgently needed at a manageable standard and with 15 k€ material costs ;) At that time, we only brought the house up to standard with the knowledge that we would need more later.

We plan to rent out the second residential unit from our perspective - whether to the children or externally is to be decided later. In that case, also the outside staircase as a separate entrance (not yet drawn).

Ah ok, the 15k are actually very manageable :) I am quite sure, however, that there will be no subsidies in the new program for a second residential unit that will either eventually or never be rented out, because that was an absolute wrong incentive and has already been identified as such. However, you might still be lucky this year if the old program continues 1:1.

The question "whether" does not arise; in the long term we want to rent out, also as an additional income for retirement. To whom and when are the open questions. But yes, whether this will still be subsidized in the new program is questionable.
