And you completely leave out retirement savings then? Phew...

Many have thought that before. But if your salary does not change and the company goes downhill at some point, then you will really miss several hundred euros in cash (assuming you find an equivalent job). Exactly because you are alone and everything is built on your income, you shouldn’t calculate without a buffer. That would be way too tight for me! There should definitely be a few hundred euros cushion if a bottleneck ever occurs.

BTW: how old are you actually?

No, unfortunately not. You hardly come under 300 euros total costs – but over 400 quickly depending on the model and mileage.

In short: With your income and especially alone (with 2x 1600 it would look a bit different and even then you’d have to calculate) I don’t see such financing. Over such a long period. Believe me, you’re not doing yourself any favors with wishful thinking ;-)

Nope. Retirement provision is not left out. That’s why I keep repeating that with only 700€ left over, I can’t even remotely spend that 700€ on a loan.

In the unlikely event that I have to leave the company, there would be equivalent alternatives.
By the way, I’m thirty and I drive less than 8,000 km privately per year in total.

Besides, I’m really not trying to sugarcoat anything, I’m trying to explain my situation plausibly and at the same time get advice/experiences from other users, otherwise I wouldn’t be posting here.

It’s simply my dream that I want to realize somehow. Maybe I really just need to find a woman.

The question is mainly how much knowledge you have about construction. With a lot of time and [EL] you can actually save a lot. But that can take forever. Besides, your list and description are very rough, which makes an estimate vague. Load-bearing walls can also be "opened" with proper planning and execution. But professionals have to handle that. My suggestion is, first invest money in a professional who helps you with the planning and can realistically estimate the costs considering your possibilities for [EL]... The forum can’t help you here. You can ignore the chatter about "you won’t manage anyway," but get professional advice... There is no professional here. Contact user Saar2and... he completely renovated himself and can most likely provide realistic assessments.

P.S. You need a professional anyway, at least for the building permit, but he can probably do something with the existing house. Do you have a floor plan?

One more thing, the woman who says yes to "I want to renovate my house part-time for the next two, three years and have hardly any time, but are you in?" is probably the right one.

Maybe one could also first focus on the renovation and postpone the extension? Because you surely won't need the 180 sqm all by yourself, right? And probably won't want to keep it clean!

I am only addressing the intended costs. The installation and delivery of the windows with shutters, front door, and interior doors should start at 30,000€. I recently received quotes for 19 windows (8 of them floor-to-ceiling) with shutters, which ranged between 24,000-32,000€ (but new construction). The front door from a specialist starts at 2,000€. The heating system is also set too low at 10,000€, gas would likely be around 20,000€. A structural engineer, depending on the scope, also costs about 5,000€.
