In principle, every price is fair. Because if you build a 100% comparable house, it will end up costing a similar price. Every provider has to do the same earthworks, use the same materials, has comparable personnel costs, etc.
Cheaper house = smaller, different materials, own work, etc.
With some, you can see right from the start how "expensive" the house is, with others you approach the "expensive" from a lower base. If the entry-level is sufficient, you can still build cheaply today – it is always the wishes of the builders that make it expensive.

Well, that is very individual again... one person likes it expensive, another cheap, and so on. I mean, in the end you have it in your own hands. Do I have to have the famous golden faucets, or will normal ones do. Just as Karsten (was it Nordlys) once wrote.

I would also basically prefer that (unless you wanted a specific Viebrockhaus).

As I said, for these talks – already for the selection of those with whom you conduct them – it is still too early.

Why do you think it is too early? All of these companies also employ architects and civil engineers, and in one company the managing director is even an architect himself. Is it really necessary to hire an independent architect for this?

Who pays the architects of the company? Do they work in your interest or in the interest of the seller (= "the company")? Every car salesperson sells the best car – whether it’s the "advisor" at VW, Audi, Skoda, or anywhere else. Good advisors, however, always work independently for you to get the best for YOU, not for your contracting partner.

This merely fulfills the requirements for building permit authorization. That says nothing about the quality of the design. Exactly. No matter how well an Audi salesman recognizes due to his qualification that a potential customer would be best served with a BMW, Lancia, or Peugeot – he will not send him there. Yes, an "independent" is the magic word. Because there is not yet a neutral draft. You want to find out which provider gives the best answer. Do you seriously think it is wise to let him design the question himself?
