Hi, a screed floor because if needed, you can always still tile it or coat it with plastic paint or plastic coating, so that everything is also easy to clean. Just laying cork or laminate in the basement, and then there is a flood, mmh, you have to be pretty gullible if you think that no damage will occur here.

Good, if the basement is dry and not damp, then cork or laminate can already be installed. Of course, it must also be free from flooding. If it is not, then a screed floor with tiles is the best option.

If the costs are to be reduced, this is only possible with a clean screed. Everything else, such as cork, laminate, or tiles, costs money and strains this financial budget.

Exactly Ricardo, here cement screed is a good way to save money. Other materials are indeed nice, but also cost more money. Doing it yourself is also the man.

The dear girlfriend has certainly spent too much money on a great parquet floor again. :p The poor boyfriend now has to make compromises in the basement. Sure, concrete is enough here, this isn't going to be a party cellar, right?

But I also think that the basement has its justification. Even if nothing is planned yet, that can come later. Especially when the family grows, every square meter will be needed.

My suggestion is to apply a screed and then tiles on top. The savings potential is minimal anyway.
