Hello everyone,
A few weeks ago, we purchased a developed plot of land with 270 sqm through our municipality. The location is in the beautiful Ortenau district (between Karlsruhe and Freiburg), rather rural in character. We want to build a cube house with two full floors and 125 sqm of living space, without a basement. We will forego any frills (smart home, etc.). We have not yet made progress in deciding whether to build solid or through a prefab house company. We will probably only receive the offers from the various companies in two to three weeks. Unfortunately, we have not been able to obtain a real cost calculation through our architect yet. I have to say that the house/plot is part of so-called "chain houses" of the municipality (a total of five plots/houses, each the same plot size). Now my simple question is, what construction costs should we currently "expect" approximately? Or in other words, would our budget of €380,000 be sufficient?
