Consultation for photovoltaic system

It depends on the roof pitch. I have read that up to 25° [DN] north can also make sense. But the efficiency decreases significantly. I have had it output with PVGIS for my location, and while I get 1000 sun hours for my SE and SW surfaces at 25° [DN], the two north-facing surfaces only get 7xx sun hours. So about 25-30% loss.

I don't actually know the exact roof pitch :D but it will be 30-35 degrees and therefore probably uninteresting again.

I will ask about the roof pitch at the next opportunity.

What do you think about a photovoltaic patio roof?

One should always use all available surfaces. The larger the system, the more cost-effective it becomes, since fixed costs (electrician, inverter, scaffolder) do not change significantly. If PVGIS values output below 650, it can possibly be omitted. But this only happens with roofs oriented almost exactly north, steeper than 25°. So not that often.

It is best to plan the system with the help of the photovoltaics forum and only then contact the solar installers.

Storage is currently neither ecologically nor economically sensible. (Not anytime soon)

Regarding the terrace roof: Would you have had the same concerns if instead of photovoltaics, say, roof tiles were on the roof? They do also break sometimes. ;-) So no - better leave that to the solar installer/carpenter/roofer. They will find their ways. A scaffold is "needed" by them rather rarely anyway. It is just a regulation.

Great thing. Whether it pays off financially would need to be checked (currently it should be under €1300 per kWp). But if in doubt, you have a useful roof for a few hundred euros and something to show off a little. Of course, only as a supplement to the rest of the house roof.

If the picture at the beginning is oriented north, then it is not your house. So it is interesting again (actually a must).

You have no idea how LITTLE energy arrives in bad weather (Tip: it's about 10% of the system capacity). I have 28 kWp above me. And when it really rains heavily, I don't run the dryer and dishwasher at the same time. And eventually the e-car wants some too. So no. The first 100 kWp are definitely not already "too big".

So far, it is only worthwhile for the seller. ;-)

Fraunhofer has recently recalculated this: storage systems become economically viable at around €250 per kW. Offers average around €1000.
You can do it as a hobby. It is by no means economically justifiable yet.
(Since I know what is about to happen here, I'm already getting coffee and popcorn ;-)
