Let's do it the way we want. Others go different ways. We are completely in disagreement here anyway.

Ventilation systems are not some new nonsense, but have been proven in public buildings for decades. And why should you warm up the outside air in winter?
That has always bothered our predecessor generation, which is why the rule of shock ventilation came about: as short and as little as necessary.
As often as I agree with you in your posts, I also notice that in some points you are quite unteachable and think conservatively. Unfortunately, you also express it as if everything that is new, costs money and you will not have it, is nonsense.

Best regards, Yvonne

Yes, although this is of course also due to local legislation. In the Netherlands, about 10 years ago, over 80% of new residential buildings were equipped with ventilation systems. Meanwhile, the value is below 30%. Now everyone can form their own opinion.

What bothers me about the systems, besides the purchase price, is that it costs electricity to ventilate, regular maintenance is necessary, otherwise they become unhealthy, and that I install something in the house to ventilate, which has been solved with windows for around 2000 years.

2000 years ago, there were no windows at all.
I wonder if people there also behaved so narrow-mindedly when it came to letting heat escape through valuable and painstakingly collected firewood simply outside. They were certainly quite happy to keep warmth in the house at all and grateful for new progress.

And "artificial air..." just keep quiet if you have no idea.

Regards, Yvonne

The heat loss exorcism sometimes reaches comical dimensions – up to the point of absurdity, saving energy that has to be spent. The amount of ventilation needed makes more sense directly. The balance between progress and conversation cannot be found "ideally" – for everyone who leans "too far" forward, there also needs to be someone who leans back just as much. That makes the difference between turning and capsizing.
