That essentially depends on what exactly you understand by ancillary building costs. For example, you are still missing a budget for kitchen, furniture, and outdoor facilities (I only just noticed that). Some people include that in the ancillary building costs, which naturally makes them exorbitant. Otherwise, you have utility connections, earthworks, etc., although some people account for earthworks separately, and the earthworks themselves depend extremely on the plot of land... if you browse around a bit on the topic, you will find lists of ancillary building costs here.

With these numbers, you are doing great, so the whole thread is unnecessary. Of course, you can build a house. What should be impossible about that? What I find worth discussing is the "injustice" that as a dentist you receive the full 8.5k salary during the employment ban and unlimited breastfeeding period, whereas every other employee has to be content with a maximum parental allowance of 1.8k... unbelievable. Society pays for that...

Huh? No. That is not parental allowance. If an expectant mother receives a ban on employment, then the employer simply continues to pay the salary (for 6 weeks, afterwards the health insurance). For self-employed persons, then correspondingly a private health insurance taken out from the start. Then the salary differences themselves would have to be criticized.

That is not true. During the employment ban, every employee continues to receive their regular salary from the employer. But only certain vulnerable occupational groups receive an employment ban at all during pregnancy. Otherwise, the same rules apply to a dentist as to all other mothers. After the birth, you have X weeks (depending on the child/birth) entitlement to net salary minus maternity benefits, after that comes parental allowance up to a certain amount/time.

Speaking of salary differences... have you ever discussed that he works part-time and she works full-time?

Is that so? Where is that stated? If it is so, the thread is unnecessary.
