In your original post, you wrote that you CURRENTLY have €4,700 (including child benefit which technically doesn't count) and that it will rise to €8,000 when your wife starts working. Somehow, you don't seem to have a clear plan yourself. Have everything recalculated by the financial advisor.

I actually didn't want any financial advice here, so I kept the information brief. I probably shouldn't have mentioned anything about the income :D

But to clarify:
My wife is a dentist with a net income of just under 8.5k. She is still receiving this because she is currently under Berufsverbot. This will not change until the end of 24, so until then the net household income is 13k. After that, there will be parental allowance for quite a while until she returns to working part-time, so only half the income is counted then (probably a bit more). It's clear that we will not take out the loan during the low-income period, and that we have sufficient reserves.

Well, if the question in the title is "how much land can we afford," then people inevitably look at the salary, because that largely determines what you can "afford."

Now the whole thing sounds plausible. Don't get demotivated, many people here don't always read everything and accordingly the answers are like that.

I don't really see a problem now. However, the basement seems too cheap to me.

Well, it would be much easier if the OP had packed all information into a single thread, and we wouldn’t have to pull the details about income / reserves out of him. If I ask a forum what I can afford, I have to lay all my cards on the table. And not assume that everyone can estimate that I already know well what I’m doing. 85% of the people who open threads here don’t have such a good overview of their finances.

Yes, that's why I actually wanted to edit my post, but it was no longer possible :D I'm still learning, the next posts will be better ;)
